Didion Orf Recycling is a leading provider of recycling and scrap metal management services. We specialize in the collection, processing, and selling of metals and electronics, contributing to a sustainable future. We’re seeking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery
- Work on trucks, trailers, cranes, conveyors, balers, shears, loaders, excavators, forklifts, and more
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and fix problems quickly and effectively
- Handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs
- Weld and fabricate when needed
- Work independently
- Follow all safety standards on the job
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment or industrial maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting skills—you can find the problem and fix it
- Basic electrical knowledge (motor controls, circuits; PLCs a plus)
- Experience with hydraulics and welding preferred
- Able to work fast and safely, stay organized, and adapt when priorities change
What You Need
- Associate’s degree or certification in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or related field — or equivalent experience
